35 – Information for population

Objective of the program

To implement a technical information center, two physical regional bases in Minas Gerais and two in the State of Espírito Santo, which are permanently connected to the technical information center that is located within the environmental area 1 (compromised by the deposit of tailings in the channels and riverbanks of the Gualaxo do Norte, Carmo and Doce rivers, considering the respective passages of their formation streams and tributaries, as well as estuarine, coastal and marine regions in the parts impacted by the collapse), with the objective of communicating and informing the population in regards to environmental aspects.

Progress of Program

On September 3rd, the TIC Mariana Unit received a total of 4 free visitors. The space and purpose of the TIC were presented, as well as the interactive platform where the public could browse the available collections. Among the people mentioned, we have the presence of an Art Educator, from the city of Belo Horizonte.

On the 12th, two groups of students from the Wilson Pimenta Ferreira Municipal School – Santo Antônio neighborhood, Mariana (MG) -, from the Mariana Full-Time Education Program, visited. The total number of people received was 13 (11 students + 2 teachers), among the grades and age group: Elementary School I, 4th and 5th grade, children aged 8 to 11. The mediation was adapted with flexible language to the age group with the application of activation activities, which were well received, with exchanges between the students and teachers present.

In compliance with the LETTER/CT-PDCS/Nº 08/2024 issued on September 4, 2024 by the Technical Chamber for Participation, Dialogue and Social Control - CT-PDCS, the physical unit of the TIC in Mariana located in a rented property (Rua Direta, nº 50, Centro Historico) began its vacancy process on September 13, 2024, ceasing its activities to the public on September 16.

In compliance with the LETTER/CT-PDCS/Nº 08/2024 issued on September 4, 2024 by the Technical Chamber for Participation, Dialogue and Social Control - CT-PDCS, the physical unit of the TIC in Governador Valadares located in a leased property (Rua Barão do Rio Branco, 732, Centro) began its vacancy process on September 13, 2024, ceasing its activities to the public on September 16.

In compliance with the LETTER/CT-PDCS/Nº 08/2024 issued on September 4, 2024 by the Technical Chamber for Participation, Dialogue and Social Control – CT-PDCS, the physical unit of the TIC in Mariana located in a leased property (av. Augusto Pestana, Lj 05, Centro, Linhares/ES) began its emptying process on 09/13/2024, ceasing its activities to the public on 09/16.

In September 2024, the second interview of the 4th cycle of the Knowledge on the Agenda project was carried out. Professor and researcher Júlia Naves Teixeira addressed the project "Applicability of mining waste for the production of construction materials: Effect of incorporation of lignocellulosic material and synthetic termite slime on the properties of adobe”. The recorded interview is available on the interactive platform.

In September, the 11th Santa Rita Durão Crochet Meeting took place, where PG35 followed the action together with PG06. The women of the Santa Rita Durão community, in Mariana, meet every two weeks to practice crafts, where they share knowledge and daily experiences. The meeting currently takes place in a colonial mansion, in the town's main square. The program's presence on this occasion was intended to strengthen ties with the group and map opportunities and actors for the TIC.

In September, a visit took place to the communities of Pedras and Borba, in the Technical Reserve and in the Resettlement of Paracatu de Baixo, where PG35 accompanied the action together with PG06. The visits took place through the PG06 partnership with the Renova Foundation Technical Visit (VimVer). The communities visited the Renova Foundation Technical Reserve, where assets of historical and religious value from the communities of Bento Rodrigues, Paracatu de Baixo (Mariana) and Gesteira (Barra Longa) are stored. In Paracatu de Baixo, the communities took a tour of the site and were able to follow the progress of the works and the sites that have already been handed over to the population. The presence of PG35 in this action was intended to map opportunities and actors for the TIC.

In September 2024, the third interview of the 4th cycle of the Knowledge on the Agenda project was carried out. Architect and urban planner Marcela Aguiar Nogueira on the project “Innovative social technologies for the recovery of areas degraded by mining – Fundão Dam in Mariana/MG”. The recorded interview is available on the interactive platform.

In July, the Mariana TIC Unit received a total of 05 free visitors. The space and purpose of the TIC were presented, as well as the interactive platform where the public could browse the available collections. In addition, the Cultural Memory – Doce River mediation was carried out, where visitors were able to see a section of the collection and learn more about the theme. The unit is open to the public on Thursdays and Fridays from 9am to 12pm and from 1pm to 5pm.

In July 2024, the TIC Governador Valadares Unit received a total of 02 spontaneous visitors. The space and purpose of the TIC were presented, as well as the interactive platform where the public could browse the available collections. The unit is open to the public on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9am to 12pm and from 1pm to 5pm.

In July 2024, the TIC physical unit, in Linhares (ES), received 02 spontaneous visitors. It is worth noting that both presented themselves as employees of the Secretariat of Labor, Assistance and Social Development of Espírito Santo (SETADES) and representatives of the Technical Board for Participation, Dialogue and Social Control (CT-PDCS) and the Technical Board of Social Organization and Emergency Aid (CT-OS). The space and purpose of the TIC were presented, as well as the interactive platform where the public could browse the available collections. The unit is open to the public on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9am to 12pm and from 1pm to 5pm.

In July 2024, new uploads were made to the interactive platform, further expanding and diversifying the TIC collection. In the Affected Territory Registry collection, 31 audiovisual productions resulting from the Decentralization and Itinerancy actions carried out in the first half of 2024 were made available. In the Technical Notes collection, 8 new documents were inserted and in the Academic Studies collection, a new study was added.  

Throughout the month of June 2024, the TIC physical unit, located in Mariana, received 4 visits from school groups and Community Civil Protection and Defense Centers (NUPDEC). The 70 are residents originally from Santa Cruz do Escalvado and Barra Longa. The visits took place through a partnership between PG35 and the Technical Visit of the Renova Foundation PG06 (ComeSee) PG38 (Water Monitoring) and Pg34 (Preparedness for Environmental Emergencies).
There was also a Mediated Visit with students from Escola Municipal Passagem de Mariana with 19 participants. This visit occurred based on the interest of the school itself through scheduling through the Interactive Platform.

On June 18, 2024, the works and books were handed over to the participants of Trails of Memory, 2nd cycle, at Casa da Banda in Monsenhor Horta, district of Mariana. Of the 12 workshop participants, 8 were present. The productions were handed over and there was a moment of exchange about the experience that took place in 2023. The meeting provided a feeling of appreciation, shared by one of the members.  

In June 2024, the TIC physical unit, in Linhares (ES), received 5 spontaneous visitors from the district of Regência and the municipality of Anchieta. The space and purpose of the TIC were thus presented as the interactive platform where the public can browse the available collections. The unit is open to the public on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9am to 12pm and from 1pm to 5pm. 

In the month of June 2024, 16 videos were uploaded resulting from the Testimonial Collections and Trails of Memories Workshops actions as a Decentralization and Itinerancy strategy.

At the end of June, TIC Mariana received the closure of the Embroiders Project, a partnership with Program 06 - Dialogue and Social Communication. On the occasion, the participants received the Catalogue with the work carried out and exchanged experiences with participants from the Embroidery Project in the city of Mariana. In total there were 17 participants.

On June 26th, the physical unit of the TIC of Governador Valadares was opened for employees of the Renova Foundation who work in PG06 and in the areas of Communication and Institutional Relations. In addition to the presentation of the space, a conversation was held with the aim of mapping opportunities for future visitation and the possibility of partnership with other programs. TIC GV is located in a leased property on Rua Barão do Rio Branco, 732, Centro.

The Technical Information Center Physical Unit in Mariana is in the process of being installed in compliance with clause 174 of the TTAC. The exhibition pieces that will make up the space are in the final stages of production. The CIT will be installed in the rented property at Rua Direita, nº 50, Centro.

In December 2023, the CIT interactive platform received a total of 1,132 accesses.

Throughout the month of December, the printed books Trails of Memory, 2nd cycle, were sent by post to some recipients of interest to the TIC.

Among them, the offices of the PG06 teams, TIC Access Points, participants in the Decentralization and Itinerancy actions and libraries of school units in the municipalities that hosted the project workshops during the 2nd cycle.

The book Trails of Memories, referring to the third cycle of the project, was produced and designed. It will soon be available on the interactive platform.

The Bell Ringer Project makes up the PG35 Decentralization and Itinerancy actions planned to be carried out in September. The objective of this project is to value and help preserve the craft of Bell Ringing in the community of Santa Rita Durão, district of Mariana (MG). The students participated in two workshops where they were able to learn about the history of bells, told by the master bell ringer and the local parish priest, and the different types of bell ringing.
Presentations on the work of PG35 and Interactive Platform at Entrepreneurship, Citizenship and Recreation Action events. These events took place on the 2nd, 23rd and 30th of September, respectively in Periquito (MG), Regência (district of Linhares/ES) and Governador Valadares (MG). The objectives of these presentations were to increase the local population's knowledge about PG35's activities and encourage and guide access to the Interactive Platform.
Holding of the second and third Webinar of the Knowledge on Agenda project on the 14th and 29th of September. The topics covered were “Patrimonialization of the Santo Antônio chapel, located in Paracatu de Baixo (Mariana – MG)” and “Study on the water quality of the Gualaxo do Norte and Carmo rivers, after the collapse of the Fundão dam.
Mobilization for precautionary visits regarding the installation of the physical unit of the TIC and City Museum, in Governador Valadares, held on the 18th and 19th of September. These actions were carried out by teams from the Renova Foundation and City Hall with the aim of promoting interface with residents in the immediate surroundings of the work located in Getúlio Vargas Square. Presence of a PG35 representative at a meeting promoted by Governador Valadares City Hall on September 22nd. The purpose of this agenda was to increase the community's knowledge about the TIC's objectives and the works of the physical unit and was attended by a representative of residents of the Lourdes neighborhood.

Throughout the month of August, 5 workshops were held in the 3rd Cycle of the “Trails of Memories” Project, which makes up the set of Decentralization and Itinerancy activities of the Technical Information Center (TIC). The activities were carried out in the Minas Gerais municipalities of Periquito (08/03), Belo Oriente (09 and 17 of august), Tumiritinga (08/08), Aimorés (21 and 22 of august) and Governador Valadares (08/26). Trails of Memory aims to encourage the collaborative construction of the Affected Territory Registry collection based on the narratives of the residents themselves. The workshops were attended by 71 residents, including groups made up of women, young people, elderly people, artisans, fishermen and local cultural agents, among others.

During the month of August, 04 meetings were held with community members from Santa Rita Durão, district of Mariana (MG), to plan and organize the Bell ringers Project workshops, scheduled to take place between the months of September and October 2023. The project, which also makes up the Program's Decentralization and Itinerancy activities, seeks to contribute to the valorization of the bell ringer's craft in the community and to the preservation of the memory of cultural practices related to it.

On August 19, 2023, the presentation of the Information Program for the Population and the TIC Interactive Platform was held with the participants of the Entrepreneurship, Citizenship and Recreation Action event, held at 22 de Agosto Square, in downtown Linhares ( ES). The publicity aimed to increase the knowledge of the local population about the Program's actions and content and encourage and guide access to the Platform.

On August 31, 2023, the first webinar of the 3rd Cycle of Knowledge on the Agenda was held featuring the photo essay “Portrait of Clay: a photographic cut from the margins of Brazilian society after the collapse of the Fundão dam”.

The PG35 was present in the community of Areal, in Linhares (ES), on 07/06/2023, accompanying Mobile ISC activity. The purpose of the action was to present the TIC to Mobile ISC users through the Interactive Platform and deliver promotional materials, encouraging the population to learn about the collection and possibilities for collaboration. On that occasion, it was also possible to map opportunities for future actions in the community.

On 07/12/2023, the PG35 was in Santa Rita Durão where it held a meeting with a key stakeholder of the PG35, Mr. Tutim, a resident of the community, and the local parish priest, with the aim of continuing the development of the Bell Ringers Project. Developments were presented for carrying out a workshop with school students with the aim of promoting the appreciation and perpetuation of the practice of bell ringing, an intangible cultural asset of the State of Minas Gerais, as well as identifying forms of support from the local church in the development of the action.

On 07/21/2023, the PG35 team mobilized the community of Cachoeira Escura (Belo Oriente) to carry out the workshops of the 3rd Cycle of the Trails of Memories, scheduled to take place on 08/15. Mobilization was carried out directly with local leaders in order to multiply the invitation to the community.

On 07/26/2023, the program was present in the municipality of Alpercata, also with the aim of carrying out the mobilization for the workshops of the 3rd Cycle of the Trails of Memory, scheduled to take place on 08/26, in Governador Valadares. The invitation was directed to local leaders with the aim of multiplying the invitation to community members. On that occasion, the PG35 put up posters inviting people to the workshop in local establishments.

On 07/17/2023, the PG35 visited the community of Pedra Corrida (Periquito) with the objective of presenting the TIC and its interactive platform, as well as distributing promotional materials to community stakeholders.

On 07/18/2023, PG35 participated, at the invitation of the Communication, Participation, Dialogue and Social Control Program (PG06) of the Renova Foundation, in a meeting with entrepreneurs and cultural agents from Mariana. On the occasion, the objectives of the TIC were presented and promotional materials were distributed to the participants.

The first exhibition of the Trails of Memory project, 2nd cycle, took place at the Escola Família Agrícola (EFA) in the community of Camões, rural area of Sem Peixe (MG), on May 12, 2023, from 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm. The event brought together EFA students and São Sebastião State School, also located in the municipality. Young people exchanged experiences about participating in the project and were able to learn about the work developed during the workshop. 52 people were present.
On May 18, 2023, the second Trails of Memory exhibition, 2nd cycle, took place at Manoel Lino Mol Square in the municipality of Barra Longa (MG). It was attended by 27 people, including participants from the 1st and 2nd cycle of the project and other residents. The works developed in the workshop were displayed in the square and culminated in a conversation wheel where the TIC was presented and the participants shared their experience in the project.
The third exhibition of the Trails of Memory project, 2nd cycle, took place on May 20, 2023 at the Historical Museum of Regência, in the district of Regência (Linhares/ES). The works developed during the project workshop were exhibited at the museum and remain there for appreciation for a determined period of time. In all, 31 people visited the exhibition and also had the opportunity to identify some photos belonging to the collection of the Ecological Center of Regency (TAMAR/ICMBio).
The PG35 team held a workshop for the Trails of Memory project, in Povoação, district of Linhares (ES), on May 22, 2023. The meeting took place at the Community Integration Center (CIC), at Rua Cleres Martins Moreira, S/N - Povoação. It had the participation of nine residents and aimed to record affective memories regarding the territory in an artistic and textual way.
In May 2023, PG35 launched a new Open Call inviting researchers and scholars on the impacts of the Fundão dam collapse to present their studies in the new Knowledge of the Agenda Cycle to be carried out. 5 online webinars will be presented with the participation of a mediator and, at the end of the cycle, an e-book will be produced with the synthesis of the studies.
As of May 2023, the TIC has completed visual communication improvements at 3 ISCs: Mariana, Governador Valadares and Linhares. The communication products were adapted to the reality of each of the ISCs, being essentially informative banners, computer screen stopper and mousepad. For the ISCs in Mariana and GV, two pantographic panels were produced for the Access Points to reinforce the presence of the TIC, since the installation of a physical unit of the TIC is foreseen in both locations.

The PG35 team carried out the Trails of Memory, in Regência, district of Linhares/ES, on March 11, 2023. The workshop was held at Centro Ecológico de Regência, Rua Principal, S/N - Regência Augusta. It had the participation of people of different ages from the community, being an opportunity for generations to meet and exchange experiences and stories. Some photos from the Ecological Center collection were presented, where participants could (re)know the images and produce records of their affective memories in an artistic and textual way. There were 7 hours of activities with the presence of 8 participants. The works resulting from the workshop will be recorded in a book and made available on the TIC website to form the collection of the Collection of “Records of affected territories”.
The PG35 team carried out the Trails of Memory, in Barra Longa/MG, on March 9, 2023. The workshop was held at the H&P office, at Rua Venâncio Lino Mol, 44 – Centro. It had the participation of 8 people from the community. 3 hours of activities were carried out with the aim of recording the affective memories of the participants in an artistic and textual way. The works resulting from the workshop will be recorded in a book and made available on the TIC website to form the collection of the Collection of “Records of affected territories”.
On March 30, 2023, the PG35 technical team, the Diálogo team and members of the Renova Foundation Institutional Relations team held a meeting with residents of Bairro de Lourde, in Governador Valadares. The purpose of the meeting was to present the conceptual design of the TIC to be built, partially occupying Praça Getúlio Vargas, in order to answer questions and provide clarifications to those present. The residents were invited from door to door and posters were posted at various commercial points in the neighborhood, as shown in the attached evidence.

On February 7, 2023, the PG35 technical team met with the Dialogue of Espírito Santo team to align on the program's face-to-face actions in the territory of Espírito Santo during the next 2 months, including the workshop Trails of Memory in Regência, the collection of testimonials for the collection in Povoação and the collective agenda for the presentation of the TIC conceptual project.
On February 9, 2023, the PG35 technical team met with the coordination of the MRD Dialogue team to align on the execution of the 3rd cycle of the Trails of Memory to be carried out in the municipalities of that territory.
The PG35 team carried out the Trails of Memory, in Sem Peixe/MG, from February 6 to 10, 2023. The workshop was held at Manuelzão Cultural Center, at Francisco Repoles Gomes St, 500 – City Center. It had the participation of young people from the community and students from the Agricultural Family School of Camões, located in the rural area of Sem Peixe. 12 hours of activities were carried out with the aim of recording the affective memories of the participants in an artistic and textual way. The works resulting from the workshop will be recorded in a book and made available on the TIC website to form the collection of the Collection of “Records of affected territories”.
The PG35 team held an agenda with representatives of the Renova Foundation's Biodiversity Program to start planning the 3rd Cycle of Webinars Knowledge in Agenda for the presentation of a CIT FAPEMIG Scientific Seminar.
The Renova Foundation sent for signature, via official letter FR.2023.0480, dated February 27, 2023, the Term of Cooperation for the implementation of the Technical Information Center (TIC) at the Ecological Center of Regência, district of Linhares/ES. The term in its most recent version presents the corrections indicated by the Technical and Administrative Coordination and Advice - COTAB, which include the essential clauses provided for in art. 42 of Law No. 13,019, of 2014.

On December 20 and 21, 2022, an action was taken to collect individual testimonies in the municipality of Barra Longa (MG). This action is anchored to the Trails of Memory project and intends to record, through video, audio or transcribed testimony, reports about the history and memories of residents and how their ways of life were crossed by the Fundao dam collapse. Four reports were recorded that will make up the CIT collection and will be made available on the interactive platform.

Is a specialist in landscape and biodiversity management in the Doce River Panel. Lives in São Paulo, Brazil. Francisco Barbosa - Vice-President of the Rio Doce Panel, specialist in ecology and conservation of aquatic ecosystems. Continuing the actions to disseminate the Interactive Platform to internal and external audiences, PG35 held on 11/29, from 11:00 am to noon, a webinar for all Renova Foundation employees, presenting the improvements implemented and the new features of the site.
In November, 3 "Knowledge of the Agenda" webinars were held, in partnership with the Doce River Panel (UICN). Very important studies carried out within the scope of the process of repairing the impacts resulting from the Fundao dam collapse were presented. The speakers brought important reflections on climate change in the Doce River Basin; the source-sea approach and responsive governance. Videos with the presentations of all webinars will be available on the TIC platform: www.citdoriodoce.org.
TIC was present at 2 Entrepreneurship and Citizenship Actions, in November, to invite people to get to know the interactive platform and participate in the collective construction of the collection. The events took place in Barra Longa/MG on 11/12/2022 and Aracruz/ES on 11/19/2022.
TIC was present during an accountability forum entitled “Results”, referring to the reparation actions on the Doce River in Governador Valadares, on 11/30/2022.

Aiming at the constant improvement of the TIC interactive platform, an improved version was made available offering improvements in several aspects as follows. We emphasize that these improvements in the platform were made based on indications from the CT – PDCS, CIF and internal teams of the Renova Foundation Programs: Navigability: reorganization of navigation menus, offering more content in fewer clicks; Accessibility: Implementation of ASL translation and resources for people with visual impairments; Audience range: translation into English; Interactivity: improvement of the document upload system; Design: improvements in design elements, favoring the site's readability; Content: increase in the collection with the availability of recordings of all Knowledge of the Agenda webinars and the Trails of Memory Workshops, and new technical-scientific content.
Held on 10/31/2022 at 7 pm, the first Knowledge on Agenda Webinars with the theme: “Citizen Science in the Doce River Basin: Participatory Water Monitoring” to be held on October 31, 2022, from 7 pm to 9 pm. The event featured a lecture by Unesco researcher and consultant Vera Lúcia de Miranda Guarda, PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences, and moderated by researcher and consultant Maria Eugenia Salcedo, Master's student in Arts and Art History.
In a meeting held in the city of Governador Valadares, on 10/27/2022, with the presence of the mayor, chief of staff and secretary of culture, in addition to the president of the Renova Foundation and the Program 35 team, the Institutional Relations and Works team, the Partnership Term was signed between the Renova Foundation and the City Hall for the implementation of the Technical Information Center – TIC.
On 10/14/2022, the technical team of Program 35 held a preparatory meeting with the hired mediator, Maria Eugenia Salcedo, for the 1st Knowledge in Agenda Webinar to be held on 10/31/2022.
On 10/27/2022, on pages 3 and 4 of the Official Gazette of the Municipality of GV, the sanction of the mayor to Law 7.450 of October 14, 2022 was published, which “PROVIDES ON THE DISABILITY AND ASSIGNMENT OF USE OF PUBLIC ASSETS AND PROVIDES OTHER PROVISIONS.” The law allows the construction of the Technical Information Center - TIC at Getúlio Vargas Square by the Renova Foundation.
The company Arquivar, hired by the Program, completed the digitization of the photographic collection of the Ecological Centre of Regência on 10/26/2022. Digitization is the first phase of the methodology for implementing the Trails of Memory workshop.
The new facilities and improvements were presented to the Collective Dialogue teams of Mariana, Upper Doce River
and Espírito Santo, in order to equip them to support and support the residents of the territories affected when required."
The Program 35 and ICMBio teams met on October 7, 2022, at 3:00 pm to continue mapping actions to be carried out jointly, with the objective of consolidating the work of TIC and the partnership with ICMBio in the territory.

Program 35 continued the delivery of copies of the book “Trails of Memory - Stories and affective constructions of those affected by the Fundao dam collapse” to workshop participants, authors of the books, as well as to social institutions representing the impacted communities in the Middle East territories. Sweet River; River Doce channel; Upper Rio Doce; Holy Spirit and Mariana.
The PG35 Program ended the announcement of the “Open Call” for the 2nd Cycle of Knowledge on the Agenda Webinars, inviting scholars and researchers to register, until September 9, to present their research and studies carried out on the Fundão dam failure and its impacts. Knowledge of the Agenda aims to disseminate technical-scientific production on the subject. The event was publicized on Social Networks of the Renova Foundation such as Instagram and LinkedIn. As a result of the dissemination actions, the program received 19 applications, of which 06 were selected for presentation in the new Cycle.
On September 28, 2022, the PG35 and ICMBio technical teams met remotely to align on the Decentralization and Itinerancy actions that will be carried out with the local community, jointly, between the 2 entities, in the space of the Regencia Ecological Center.
On September 28, 2022, ICMBio sent, by email, to PG35, the document “SEI_ICMBio - 12634702 - Interlocutory Dispatch of the Ministry of the Environment”, returning the Term of Cooperation between the parties for adjustments by the Renova Foundation , after reanalysis of the document by the federal bodies through which it is processed. The document was forwarded to the Renova Foundation's legal department for evaluation and feedback.
The bill 121/2022 – Assignment of Use Renova – City Museum, sent, on July 28, 2022, to the City Council by Mr. André Luiza Coelho Merlo, mayor of the municipality, was sent and approved by the following legislative committees: Constitution, Justice and Writing Committees (CCJR); Municipal Public Services Commission (CSPM) and Financial and Budget Inspection Commission (CFFO) and Tourism, Environment and Economic Development Commission (CTMADE). The project awaits the Executive's sanction and to validate the removal of the Getúlio Vargas square, converting it into an institutional area and ceding its use so that the Renova Foundation can build the Technical Information Center on the site, which will also house part of the Museum's collection of the City. The project and the opinions of all committees are attached.

On July 9th and 10th, the PG35 technical team participated in Collective Dialogue meetings in Povoação/ES and Linhares/ES, respectively, to present the TIC and the interactive platform to promote the objectives of the TIC, demonstrate how the site works, the forms of community participation, as well as to inform and invite them to participate and collectively build the collection of Territorial Narratives.
The PG35 technical team split up to participate, simultaneously, in two face-to-face events, on July 20, namely: “Project Exhibition”, held at Unileste, in Ipatinga/MG and “Entrepreneurship and Citizenship Action” in Baixo Guandu/ES”. Participation in the events aimed to bring TIC closer to the target audience and also to map potential collaborators, materials, content, testimonials, etc.

On August 23, 2022, PG35 received from ICMBio, an email from "In Agreement" for the start of project activities involving the digitization of the photographic collection available at the Centro Ecológico de Regência, part of the scope of the actions of the 2nd Cycle of Memories Trails Workshops.
Production of the folder on the content of the CIT Interactive Platform – Technical Information Center as part of the actions to publicize, publicize and consolidate the collection.
Program 35 received, on August 25, 2002, from the Municipal Department of Culture, Sport, Leisure and Tourism of Governador Valadares, the official letter OF/SMCELT/GAB-845/2022 formalizing the approval of the basic project presented for the implementation of the CIT in the Getulio Vargas Square.

In July 2022, copies of the book “Trails of Memory - Reports and affective constructions of those affected by the Fundao dam collapse” were sent to the offices of the Dialogue and ISC teams in the Territories to arrange the delivery, in person, to participants and authors. The Dialogue teams from Barra Longa and Mariana have already received the remittances (on 07/20/2022). On 07/21/2022, the Dialogue teams from Ipatinga, from Governador Valadares and the ISC team from Governador Valadares received the remittances. The Dialogue team of Linhares team received the copies on 07/22/2022. The books to be sent, via post office, to other target audiences were sent to BH.

On July 7th, the PG35 met with the representative of the Enredeando Saberes program, from the Federal University of Viçosa, to continue the alignments between the joint actions of scientific dissemination and consolidation of the TIC’s collection.

On July 25 and 26, PG35 held meetings with the coordinators of the Renova Foundation of the Espírito Santo, Doce River Channel
and Upper Doce River teams, respectively, to unfold the Decentralization and Itinerancy actions in those territories, according to the attendance list attached.

On July 8 and 22, PG35 held meetings with the Renova Foundation's internal teams to present the TIC, publicize the Interactive Platform and build joint strategies to promote and consolidate the collection's collections. The following programs were involved: Doce Alive Program on July 8th; PG11 Recovery of Schools and Reintegration of the school community on July 22nd.

On July 22, 2022, Program 35 held a training action for ISC agents and Dialogue teams with the aim of updating them on the new content available on the TIC Interactive Platform and guiding them on announcement of opportunities and construction of the collection to serve the public reached.

In view of the change that took place in the political scenario of Mariana with the appointment of a new mayor, Program 35 officiated the current management in order to continue the negotiations for the implementation of the TIC in the Tourist Terminal. In the Official Letter FR.2022.1040, addressed to Ronaldo Alves Bento (Mayor of Mariana); Newton Geraldo Godoy (President of COMAR); Dr. Marcílio Queiroz (Secretary of Culture, Historical Heritage, Tourism and Recreation) and Marcelo Henriques (Secretary of Works and Urban Planning) the project for the implementation of the TIC in the Tourist Terminal is presented again and requests are made for the submission of municipal infrastructure demands in order to reconcile the uses of space with the two projects on the agenda.

In order to start the execution of the contracting stages of the works for the implementation of the TIC in Governador Valadares, Program 35 sent, on July 25, 2002, the official letter FR.2022.1067 updating Mr. André Luiz Coelho Merlo, mayor of Governador Valadares, about the ongoing negotiations for the implementation of the TIC in Getúlio Vargas Square and forwarding the conceptual project for knowledge. On the occasion, it was also requested the signature of the Cooperation Agreement with the changes made according to the Official Letter of the Secretary of Culture, Sport, Leisure and Tourism.

In accordance with the maintenance and improvement schedule of the TIC Interactive Platform, on June 1st, 8th, 15th and 22nd, meetings were held with the Digital Pixel team in order to implement improvements in its content.

On June 1st and 8th, PG35 held meetings with the coordinators of the Renova Foundation, the Dialogue teams of Mariana and Calha do Rio Doce, respectively, for the tactical planning of Decentralization and Itinerancy actions in those territories, according to lists of attached presences.

On June 29, all products resulting from the previous cycle of Decentralization and Itinerancy were launched on the Interactive Platform www.citdoriodoce.org, with the upload of the final version of the Book Trails of Memory in addition to the 5 videos already released. The book is one of 6 materials produced by residents of affected communities during the Memories Trails workshops.

On June 23, a meeting was held, in person, between the program's technical team and representatives of the Municipality of Mariana for another round of conversations on the compatibility between the TIC projects and the municipal project for the Tourist Terminal.

In accordance with the maintenance and improvement schedule of the TIC Interactive Platform, the program's technical team held, on 05/25/2022, a meeting with representatives of Digital Pixel and Enable Venture in order to implement improvements in the website's content.
On May 3, 2022, a meeting was held between the program's technical team and the Social Dialogue team of Médio Rio Doce for the tactical planning of Decentralization and Itinerancy actions in that territory.
The PG35 technical team met with the Espírito Santo Social Dialogue team for the tactical planning of Decentralization and Itinerancy actions in the territory, on May 9, 2022.
On May 11, 2022, the program's technical team also met, with the same objective, with Mariana's Dialogue team.

On April 26, a meeting was held with the coordinators of the Alto Rio Doce Dialogue team for the tactical planning of Decentralization and Itinerancy actions in that territory.

On March 16, 2022, the PG35 technical team and the ICMBio team met online to jointly build the program actions to be carried out on site this year.
Program 35 held, on March 17 and 18, training with ISC agents from Mariana and Governador Valadares, respectively, with the aim of introducing them to the TIC Interactive Platform and Access Points, as well as aligning guidelines and general procedures, in order to enable it to offer ISC users information that will enable them to make use of these resources.
Meeting held on March 17, 2022, at 10:00 am, with PG15 and PG38, for alignment on the partnership proposal received from the “Enredeando Saberes” group of the Federal University of Viçosa with a view to the joint construction of integrated technical-scientific dissemination actions with the TIC – Technical Information Center.

On February 17, 2022, the PG35 technical team was present at the Ecological Centre of Linhares/ES to finalize the installation of the Access Point of the TIC Interactive Platform, as communicated in the 56th RO of the CT-PDCS and notified by letter.
On February 24, 2022, an online meeting was held between the PG35 team and ICMBio, with the presence of Institutional Relations and the Engineering team of the Renova Foundation. The meeting had as its agenda the final approval of the Partnership Agreement between the two institutions, the latest guidelines on the Regencia Technical Information Center Executive Project and the formalization of the delivery of the Access Point to the Interactive Platform at the Ecological Center.
On February 25, 2022, the final version of the Cooperation Agreement between ICMBio and the Renova Foundation and its respective Work Plan for the implementation of the TIC in Regencia were sent by email for signature.
The PG35 and Institutional Relations team of the Renova Foundation met, in person, on February 7, 2022, with the Mayor of Mariana, Mr. Juliano Gonçalves and advisors to present the TIC Conceptual Project at the Tourist Terminal.
On February 17, 2022, the Access Point to the Interactive Platform was installed inside the ISC Unit, located at Rua Bom Jesus, nº 196/A, Bairro Centro, Mariana/MG. The installation was communicated in the 56th RO of the CT-PDCS and notified by letter.
Program 35 completed the installation of Access Points to the Interactive Platform in all 3 locations chosen for the implementation of the physical bases of the Technical Information Center – TIC, Mariana/MG, Governador Valadares/MG and Regência/ES. On January 11th, a meeting was held between the PG35 team and Digital Pixel, to develop improvements and a new version of the Interactive Platform of the TIC of Doce River.
Meetings were held between the technical team and the company Digital Pixel to present the organization chart of the Interactive Platform, with adjustments pointed out by the technical team, and formalization of approval of the Usability Diagnosis of the Interactive Platform of the TIC of Doce River. The meetings were held on January 14th, 18th and 24th, 2022.
On January 18th, 2022, a meeting was held between the PG35 and IR teams from the Renova Foundation, Pöyry Engenharia and the Municipality of Governador Valadares to re-present the TIC GV Conceptual Project with intention of approval.
On January 19th, 2022, a request for the certificate of Getúlio Vargas Square, intended location for the construction of TIC GV, was filed with the Registry of Deeds of the 1st Real Estate Registry of the District of Governador Valadares.
On January 31st, 2022, a response to Official Letter FR 2021.1671 was forwarded to the Renova Foundation by the Governador Valadares City Hall, requesting further adjustments to the document in question.

On December 3, 2021, at 11:00 am, the PG35 technical team held a virtual meeting with ICMBio to present the executive project for the future facilities of the Technical Information Center of Regência, with the participation of the Engineering and IR area of the Renova Foundation. The project presented includes the changes made to the conceptual design of the CIT, from the request of ICMBio, made in March/21, in view of the budgetary restrictions of the agency.
On December 16, 2021, at 3:00 pm, the 2nd meeting was held with the ICMBio team to provide feedback on the Partnership Agreement and continuity of alignments and clarifications on the executive project presented by the team on 12/03/2021. This meeting also had the participation of the Engineering and IR departments of the Renova Foundation.
On December 23rd, 2021, at 8:30 am, the 3rd meeting was held with the ICMBio team, continuing the alignments on the executive project, having as main agenda, the changes made to the aquarium, its technical and conceptual specifications, volumetry and format. The Engineering and IR departments of the Renova Foundation also participated in this meeting.
On December 10, 2021, at 10:30 am, the PG35 technical team and the Engineering team, both from FR, presented to Mr. Josmar Coelho, coordinator of the Museum of the City of Governador Valadares and representative of the Municipality of Governador Valadares, the conceptual design of the future installations of the Technical Information Center. The project presented includes requests from the municipality to incorporate the City Museum into the physical and conceptual scope of the Technical Information Center. Considering the specific technical demands of the engineering area of the Renova Foundation, referring to the issues of the Square where the TIC will be installed, a new agenda was requested for the presentation of the project with the participation of other secretariats of the City.
On 12/15/2021 at 4:00 pm, the PG35 technical team and the governance of the Renova Foundation held a virtual meeting with some members of the CIF and CT-PDCS, according to the attached attendance list, to formalize the request for the appointment of members constituents of the Board of Curators and other referrals defined in the Rules of Procedure.
On 12/16/2021 at 18:00, the Virtual Exhibition was held with the launch of the Book and the videos produced by the participants of the Trails of Memory project.

On 11/11/2021, a technical visit was made to the City Museum and Getúlio Vargas Square in Governador Valadares in order to gather more information about the two places. The Renova Foundation team, PG35, was also present at the ISC office to assess the implementation of the Technical Information Center access point and the PG35 Interactive Platform.

ICMBio, the federal agency's partner for implementation of the Linhares Technical Information Center (TIC) in the TAMAR project in Regencia, informed in March 2021 that it will no longer be able to afford the costs of renovating the auditorium and bathrooms of the space. Therefore, the project's executive project and, consequently, the budget, are being reviewed by the Renova Foundation's technical team.

In March 2021, the Municipal Office of Governador Valadares indicated a physical space for the installation of the TIC in this municipality; the allocated space is the Forest Garden in Governador Valadares. Currently, technical analyses are being carried out (land tenure, engineering, architecture and licensing of the Renova Foundation) to verify the feasibility of implementing a TIC in this indicated space.

Unrealized deliveries related to the Mariana, Governador Valadares and Regencia Technical Information Centers
The Governador Valadares and Regencia Technical Information Centers were not implemented in 2019. Cause: The scope of the program is being readjusted and approved by the Technical Board for Participation, Dialogue and Social Control (TB-PDSC), analyzing the content that will be implemented in the Technical Information Centers. Countermeasure: Submission of the Program Definition Proposal for approval by TB-PDSC.
The existing structures of interactive and technical equipment that distribute the information content of the facts and actions developed by the Renova Foundation in different scenarios and with different approaches, forms and technology have not been expanded. Cause: Issuance by the Technical Board for Participation, Dialogue and Social Control (TB-PDSC) of technical notes 15 and 16, which involve the readjustment of the Mariana Technical Information Center and the redefinition of the content in general. Countermeasures: 1- Submission of the final conceptual design of the technical information centers for approval by the Technical Board for Participation, Dialogue and Social Control (TB-PDSC); 2- Improvements were implemented to welcome visitors and expand interactivity in the space, but there are still actions to be taken to increase and expand the structures.
The new phase of readjustments at the Mariana Technical Information Center will fully comply with technical notes No.15 and No.16, issued by TB-PDSC. It will be executed after the approval of the Conceptual Project by TB-PDSC, in order to avoid executions not adhering to the approved scope of the program.

Based on this new possibility, negotiations continue with the Municipal Office for the legal donation of the land.

• Informative sessions on the resettlement are on the program at the Casa do Jardim with dates throughout the month; Tuesdays are dedicated to collective resettlement and Thursdays to rural resettlement. It aims to answer any questions the families might have about this process.
• Exhibition of handicrafts: the Mariana Arts and Workshops group (FAM) and the group of Padre Viegas continue to fill the space in the Casa do Jardim to expose their works to the visiting public.
• Thematic activity for the elderly from Bento Rodrigues and Paracatu de Baixo and their relatives: during the activity, the most important past celebrations and events of Bento Rodrigues and Paracatu de Baixo were recalled by the residents. Based on the CIF resolution of November 2018, considering that the TICs should preferably be implemented in public spaces, except when proved impossible, and after consultation with the municipal government of Governador Valadares (MG), on 02/13/19, the municipality sent the letter OF/GAB/SMA 032/2019 to the Renova Foundation, informing there is no public space available for installation of the TIC.
In view of the aforementioned unavailability, the Renova Foundation sent the Interfederative Committee (CIF) and the Technical Board of Communication, Participation, Dialogue and Social Control (CT-CPDCS), the letter OFI.NII.012019.5137 informing about the reply by Municipal Office regarding Resolution 229, item 2, and reiterating that the TIC will be implemented in the current space, located at Rua Afonso Pena nº 268, Downtown, Governador Valadares (MG).
Based on this definition, the negotiations for the implementation of the Center will be resumed.

Other activities that took place at the TIC, based on the results of the Participatory Workshops, were:
Completion of a Brazilian Sign Language Course for teachers of the municipal network of Mariana.
The TIC became the place to welcome the participants of the ComeSee Project of the Renova Foundation (itinerary of experiences that allows the visitor to understand, from up close, how the tragedy occurred and the impacts it caused to the affected territories).
In October, the space received the cooperative of Gesteira to expose the products produced by its members.

Center for Technical Information in Regencia: After the visit to the Tamar Project, on 08/09/18 in Regencia (ES) - location quoted for the installation of the Technical Information Center (TIC) - negotiations continue on the legal procedures between Renova and ICMBio to conclude an appropriate legal instrument to legitimize the use of the area.

Technical Information Center in Governador Valadares: Initiated the planning to carry out the campaign in some schools of the region to choose the name of this TIC. The five names (Doce Reborn; Doce River Center; Doce River; Around the River, River Corner) listed in the 3rd Participatory Workshops, held on July 31, 2018, will be considered in the voting; Presented on 09/26/2018, by the architecture team, the details of the design for the façade of the TIC. As for the details of the Conceptual and Executive Project for the TIC Governador Valadares, the same will be presented in October.

In this sense, on September 18, the 6th workshop was held at Casa do Jardim in Mariana (MG), in order to build the Participative Definition of the Occupation Plan, Pedagogical Proposal and Shared Management of Operation.

In this workshop the participants developed the action plan of the themes:
- Multicultural
- Income Generation/Workshops

As a result of these plans - on September 28, the 1st training of embroideries started for the Art, Hands and Flowers Craftspeople - group of Income Generation and Workshops. Another workshop will be the creation of Ze Pereira dolls - the start date is still to be defined.

Whereas Multicultural Events chose to curate a multicultural event that includes a fair, cultural presentations and other activities. Participants were responsible for coming up with names/groups that would be interested in participating in this action and bring to the next meeting, scheduled for October 2. The month of November was raised as possible date for the event.

As for the key points of the Program, this month we started the planning to include online research, for each scenario of the TIC of Mariana - Casa do Jardim.

The visit to the Tamar Project was held on 8/9/18 in Regencia (ES) - a location indicated by the State for installing the Technical Information Center (TIC).

During the visit, the staff of the Renova Foundation was accompanied by the Superintendent of the ICMBio in the State of Espirito Santo, Mr. Jose Carlos Thome, and the Tamar Project Manager in Regencia, Mr. Carlos Sangalia. Renova's team concluded that the indicated area fulfills the objective of the Information for the Population Program, described in clause 174, which stipulates that the Foundation shall establish a TIC in the State of Espirito Santo, designed to communicate and inform the population about socio-environmental and economic aspects of this area.

During the visit, the ICMBio and Tamar Project teams reported that currently the site receives an average of 400 visitors/month, which is an expressive number and will contribute to the dissemination of information and actions to be presented in this space by the Renova Foundation. It is important to note that some improvements will need to be made to existing infrastructures.

In addition, we inform that the Renova Foundation has filed letter SEQ11826/2018/GJU with the Technical Board of Communication, Participation, Dialogue and Social Control (CT-CPDCS) and the Inter-federative Committee (CIF), informing about the visit and requesting consent for the installation of the TIC in Regencia (ES).

The 4th workshop was held at the Casa do Jardim in Mariana (MG), to construct the Participative Definition of the Occupation Plan, Pedagogical Proposal and Shared Management of Operation. Presented during the workshop was the consolidated list of topics identified in the 3rd workshop. Based on this, the participants chose new topics of interest and constructed a Plan of Action for each one, namely:
• Stories and Causes;
• Courses and Workshops;
• Art Exposition;
• Dance and Music;
• Income Generation; and,
• Entrepreneurship.

As a result, meetings are being held to define actions related to the commercialization of products, art exhibitions, cultural activities, among others, in the TIC of Mariana (MG).

On August 22, after the installation of the scenarios (Tablet, Scale Model and Timeline), the TIC of Mariana (Casa do Jardim) was opened with the new adjustments for visits, and the space was well received by the visitors.

Defined (by the State and TB) was the location for implementation of the Technical Information Center of Espirito Santo - to be installed in the district of Regencia. Based on this definition, in August, a visit will be scheduled to the Tamar Project, location indicated by the state for installation, and to initiate contact.

Continuity of participatory workshops to provide interested parties the opportunity to get involved in the project; construction of the idea of belonging and good designation of space, and for the continuity of actions throughout the period of operation of the Technical Information Centers (TICs).

In July, the Renova Foundation developed the 2nd and 3rd workshops in Mariana (MG) in order to construct the Participatory Definition of the Occupation Plan, Pedagogical Proposal and Shared Management of Operation. And for the TIC of Governador Valadares (MG), in addition to the items mentioned above, the 2nd and 3rd workshops have focused on the construction of the concept of the space.

For the Technical Information Center of Mariana, progress was made regarding the installation of the Scenarios - different spaces for presentation of information on the actions of Renova, this month being studied, and the installation of the tablets. In development is the application (APP) with digital and interactive content for use on these devices, with the addition of headphones to present topics related to the Renova Foundation programs.

During the period of operation of the Technical Information Centers (CITs), participatory workshops were held with those interested. The goal was to involve the community, reinforcing the sense of belonging and the appropriation of this space.

In June, the Renova Foundation also developed the 1st workshop in Mariana, to build the participative definition of the Occupation Plan, the pedagogical proposal and the Shared Management Model of the Functioning of this site. In the CIT of Governador Valadares (MG), in addition to these proposals for participatory construction, the 1st workshop focused
on the construction of the concept of the space.

Whereas in the CIT in Mariana progress was made with the actions to install the Scenarios, which are separate spaces for presenting information on Renova’s actions.

The program carried out technical visits, on January 10 and 29, together with the team of the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG), to the Residents Information Center in Governador Valadares (MG). The objective was to collect information and get to know the location to be able to continue with the design of the space.

In the second week of January, the renovation of the external space of the Residents Information Center in Mariana was completed. This environment will also provide for community activities.

Now the renovation has been completed, the Information and Service Center (Cia) in Mariana was transferred to the new location. Apart from registering and monitoring requests and complaints, clarifying doubts and meeting the demands of those affected, the new address integrates other actions with the objective of bringing people closer to the reparation works. The first integration activities of the center with the community started with the Summer Connection project.

The structural renovation was completed of the building that will house the Residents Information Center of Mariana in Minas Gerais. The whole setting of the location was adapted to create a space of interaction and information regarding the actions of the Renova Foundation towards the population. In this location will also operate the Information and Service Center, ready to receive requests by the community.

The Renova Foundation teams made a technical visit to the Residents Information Center of Governador Valadares, Minas Gerais, and during the visit, collected information on the necessary improvements to the infrastructure of the site.

It was also agreed with the Federal University of Espirito Santo (UFES) to submit, in March 2018, the technical and commercial proposal for the design of the State Residents Information Center.

Its rooms are also being reorganized in order to create a space for interaction and information for the population regarding the actions of the Renova Foundation. At this location will also be opened the Information and Service Center, prepared to receive queries from the community.

On November 8, Renova presented the progress of this project to the Technical Board of Communication, Participation, Dialogue and Social Control. It is expected that the entire structure will be completed in January 2018 so that the Information Center can begin its operation in the first half of the year.

Studies are underway to define improvements to the Information Centers. The technical scope and pedagogical proposal to be implemented in the information centers of Mariana and Governador Valadares, in Minas Gerais, by the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG) are also being elaborated. In August, the lease of the space allocated for the Information Center of Mariana (MG) was signed.

In June, the Renova Foundation received 14,385 requests through its customer service channels (Contact Us, 0800, Information and Service Centers). The number of requests resolved that month reached 12,204, regardless of the date of receipt.

Also in June, another Information and Service Center was put into operation in the municipality of Tumiritinga (MG). The site receives, registers and handles requests of all matters referring to the Renova Foundation. In all, 13 Centers are in operation.

Training was started with the new team of the company AeC, from July on responsible for the support through 0800 and Contact Us of the Renova Foundation. This support will change to Belo Horizonte, which will facilitate the contact and management of these channels. The necessary training will also facilitate to humanize the service.

Nine training sessions were held with the communication agents (responsible for providing support through the Information and Service Centers), focusing on the actions of the Renova Foundation programs and aiming at improving the level of information to be passed on to people contacting the Costumer Service Channels of the Foundation.

In May, the Renova Foundation received 18,267 requests through its customer service channels (Contact Us, 0800, Information and Service Centers). The number of requests resolved that month reached 17,670, (regardless of the date of receipt).

554 records were filed at the Information and Service Centers. The main topics discussed are related to the Mediated Indemnity Program (PIM) and the registration of the impacted parties. Ongoing are the operations of the regional physical bases and the technical information center.
