During the event, representatives of the Renova Foundation addressed the completed actions related to environmental recovery, like emergency revegetation, recovery of the tributary rivers, drainage recomposition of plains and riverbanks to prevent sediments from reaching waterways. Furthermore, there are plans for the revegetation of the riverbanks and plains and the planting of native forests along the impacted area.

To compensate for the damage, improvements will be made to the water withdrawal system of the affected municipalities, recovery works will take place to springs and damaged permanent preservation areas (APPs) and the water quality will be monitored. Regarding the water quality, according to representatives of the institution there are 120 monitoring points and periodical analysis reports are being sent out to the relevant entities.
