This is the second edition of the Program which, in addition to education and training, offers a half-minimum-wage scholarship and transport vouchers.

In early December, the twenty young people from Mariana (MG) selected for the Renova Foundation’s Apprentice Program started the Administrative Processes course. This is the first stage of the project, which offers free technical-professional training for 12 months, with face-to-face classes in partnership with the municipality’s Senai.

This first module, which will be completed in June 2022, is aimed at technical writing in the area of administration, human relations, planning and information technology. Starting in the second half of 2022, young people will learn how to apply quality management, operations logistics and finance in business administration. In total, there are 800 hours of classes, from Monday to Friday, from 7:30 am to 11:30 am.

The pedagogical proposal is the training of qualified labor for organizations in the region: “By training these young people in the cognitive, technical and socio-emotional areas, we hope to return to the Mariana labor market a qualified workforce, with professionals who stand out for their competence and skills in the administrative area”, says the Pedagogical Analyst of Senai, Carine Camacho.

For student Lohann Petsold, one of those selected, this is also an opportunity to prepare for graduation. “I already finished high school and sought the program with the objective of qualifying myself to enter the job market, but it is also a preparation for college. I’m going to try Law or Administration, and the course will help me with that”, says the 19-year-old.

The Program

After completing the Administrative Processes course, four participants will proceed to the sequential training stage with the Renova Foundation for another 12 months. This is the second edition of the Program, which has trained 20 young people since 2019. They receive a half-minimum-wage scholarship and transportation vouchers to travel to the place of classes.

For this edition, young people aged between 17 and 22 were selected from the municipal headquarters and districts, enrolled and attending school from the 9th grade of elementary school or who have already completed high school.
