Fostering Local Hiring

Action is part of the Program to Stimulate Local Hiring

Empower small entrepreneurs and prepare them to participate competitively are the main objectives of a series of lectures on local development and qualification of suppliers, which began on March 27, as part of the actions of the Program to Stimulate Local Hiring.

Until April 11, consultants will visit ten towns in Minas Gerais and Espírito Santo, providing information on business management for micro and small businesses for them to structure themselves financially, to meet fiscal and safety standards and thus to be prepared to provide products or services to other businesses. The activities are supported by local trade associations.

“We want to suggest ways to entrepreneurs to find business opportunities and guide them on the requirements to compete for procurement contracts of large companies and institutions, including the Renova Foundation itself, contributing to the development of the town”, says Paulo Rocha, leader of the program.

One of the actions of the Program to Stimulate Local Hiring is to empower small business owners to compete with the competition in a competitive way.

SKILLED LABOR

Another front of the program is to increase the demand of hiring from other areas were Renova is acting. “We act transversely and integrated with other programs, such as relocation. We are developing a partnership with the Senai of Mariana for skilled labor training so that workers can compete for a position when the contractors start hiring”, adds Paulo Rocha.
