Water Supply

The structure is responsible for handling the water collected from a local artesian well

Since January 26 the residents of Regencia, district of Linhares (ES), have a mobile Water Treatment Plant (ETA) at their disposal. The structure is responsible for handling the water collected from a local artesian well, which is taken to the reservoir of the Autonomous Water and Sewage Service (SAEE). The ETA started its operation after the water quality tests conducted by the Renova Foundation were recognized by SAAE and the local authorities of Linhares, and presented to the public.

Each day between 7 am and 7 pm more than 475,000 liters of water are treated, which is enough to supply the entire community. However, on days that the water consumption is higher than normal, a water tank truck is made available during the night to carry over 70,000 liters to supplement the supplies.

The mobile ETA will be used until March, the end of the rainy season. After this the supply will to be provided again by water tank trucks. The definite solution will come with the complete renovation of the Regencia treatment plant, expected to finish by July this year.
