According to the coordinator of the second phase of the Mediated Indemnity Program for Indemnity for Interruption to Water Supply and Distribution (PIM Water), Deivisson da Campos Silva, the support will be following the new format, speeding up the process. Only one meeting is needed for the presentation of documents, which will be properly informed at the time of scheduling, the signing of the Conciliation Agreement and receiving the debit card for posterior payment. “The objective is to speed up the process. It is important to highlight that even after signing the Agreement, it’s possible to request its cancellation within a period of five calendar days”, he explains.

According to the coordinator, one of the possible bottlenecks in this process is the proof of residence. “We are looking for ways to facilitate the assessment of housing so that no affected person remains without receiving the benefit due to the lack of documents show. We have prepared a very detailed verification matrix and we have the support of social workers, who can make inquiries in the register of federal programs, such as Saúde da Família (Family Health) and the CAD Único (Single Registry)”, he adds.
