Initiative will serve as inspiration and support for the collaborative construction of the Educational Program for the Revitalization of the Doce River Basin

With the objective to construct the Educational Program for the Revitalization of the Doce River Basin in a collaborative manner, the Renova Foundation will map know-how of people, communities and institutions on the subject through a Call.

The institution will select the different ways in which people and groups are organizing themselves and how they are making a difference in taking care of the basin, based on four dimensions: Social, Environmental, Economic and Cultural. For this, experiences and good practices of the most varied setups will be analyzed, taking into account the problems raised and the solutions implemented.

The objective of the initiative is to map experiences with the revitalization of waters, fish, plants, beds, riverbanks, culture, lifestyles and traditions that can contribute to and inspire the Educational Program for the Revitalization of the Doce River Basin.

In total, 40 experiences and good practices will be selected to participate in the Event for Sharing Stories and Know-How for the Revitalization of the Doce River Basin and the publication of a book containing these experiences. The selected practices will also support the elaboration of the Educational Program for the Revitalization of the Doce River Basin.

Renova Foundation sends out a Call for sharing experiences and good practices: Education for the revitalization of the Doce River Basin to map initiatives for protection and revitalization of river basins.
