Program expands lines of action enhancing economic development in the municipality
The Mariana Diversify Fund, created in 2018 to attract companies from the most diverse segments of the economy to the municipality, underwent updates and now offers two new modalities. With the change, in addition to the Interest Equalization category, the Guarantor Fund and Financing lines are available.
Companies located in Mariana with projects that are not exclusively part of the mining industry are eligible for the program. Interested companies are assessed by the Management Committee, made up of representatives from the Renova Foundation, the Minas Gerais Development Bank (BDMG) and the Government of Minas Gerais. Among the desirable requirements are: predominantly use of local labor and presentation of environmental sustainability characteristics, among others.

- Interest Equalization: category in which the resources are destined to balance the interest rates paid by companies when taking credit.
- Guarantor Fund: aims to contribute to overcoming difficulties encountered by companies in presenting guarantees in credit operations to settle or reposition themselves in the municipality.
- Financing: facilitates access to resources for financing and working capital for companies with growth potential in the city, with higher credit limits and lower interest rates.
