The project aims to contribute to the promotion of sustainable rural development of rural properties affected by the Fundao dam collapse in Mariana (MG)

 

The Technical Assistance and Rural Extension entity (ATER) has already been selected and will act in the first phase of ATER Sustainability – Resumption of Agricultural and Livestock Activities. The institution will serve rural properties in the towns of Mariana, Barra Longa, Santa Cruz do Escalvado, Ponte Nova and Rio Doce, all in Minas Gerais. Each family that is served will be contemplated with 64h/year, entailing collective and individual activities. The contract in this stage will be of 46 months.

Developed in partnership with the State Secretariat for Agrarian Development (SEDA) and the Technical Board of Economy and Innovation of the Interfederative Committee (CIF), the project aims to contribute to the promotion of sustainable rural development of rural properties affected by the Fundao dam collapse, in Mariana (MG).

The cooperative OCA, placed first for both lots, will provide the service in all municipalities covered by the project.

The actions of the Technical Assistance and Rural Extension (ATER) will support the resumption process of agricultural activities and environmental adjustment, as well as the application of sustainable production practices on impacted rural properties, and support in the insertion or expansion of markets for selling their products, according to clause 125c of the Transaction and Conduct Adjustment Term (TTAC).
