The Program “Mariana – Present and Future”, built collectively among public management, civil society, companies and institutions, aims to put the town of Mariana (MG) among the top 10 ranking of the Municipal Human Development Index (Municipal HDI) by 2030.

The event will be launched on July 27 at 6:30 pm at the Convention Center and will be supported by the Town Hall of Mariana, the Renova Foundation and CDL/ACIAM – the Mariana Commercial Association.

The initiative anticipates diversified, sustainable, socially and environmentally sound prospects for growth and development, as well as improvements to public management. From its goals and strategies, the program envisages ways for the planned growth of the municipality, generating more jobs and income, while at the same time guaranteeing quality of life for the residents.

For the mayor of Mariana, Duarte Júnior, this is an opportunity to present a plan of economic development to the community. “We want to present our perspectives and goals for the coming years to the population and listen to their feedback”, said Duarte, adding that the discussion is a contribution we can make towards future generations.
