The actions are aimed at supporting tourism, culture, sports, and recreation for Espirito Santo and Minas Gerais residents
After performing security assessments and adjustments due to Covid-19, from December 2020 to February this year, 75 projects from the Doce RFP got the green light to start their activities in municipalities in Minas Gerais and Espirito Santo. The RFP, which aims to promote social initiatives in the regions affected by the Fundao dam collapse in Mariana (MG), approved a total of 228 projects aimed at supporting tourism, culture, sports, and recreation activities. Of the projects underway, 38 are in Espirito Santo and 37 in Minas Gerais. To date, approximately R$ 3 million have been transferred to these projects.
The Doce RFP is part of Renova’s Supporting Tourism, Culture, Sports, and Recreation Program. It allocates a total of R$ 13.5 million, of which R$ 9 million to Minas Gerais and R$ 4.5 million to Espirito Santo. Cultural and sports workshops are underway, in addition to events with two or more editions.

Safety measures
In the face of the pandemic, the Doce Edition monitoring team informed the bidders about the necessary guidelines for the evaluation of the conditions for carrying out the activities, considering the Covid-19 health and safety protocols. Each bidder had the autonomy to evaluate and indicate the start date of their activities. Based on the information provided, conditions were assessed according to risk criteria, and adjustments were indicated for the projects to begin their activities.
