DOCE RIVER PANEL

It is an independent technical advisory body and scientific advisory panel, managed by the International Union for Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources (IUCN). It aims to provide technical recommendations to the Renova Foundation, with the critical objective of monitoring the evolution of the scientific components in the repair process of the Doce River basin after the Fundao dam collapse.

The Doce River Panel’s recommendations are presented in the form of Thematic Reports and articles in the ‘Issue Papers’ series, seeking to ensure a positive long-term impact. The specialists define the priority topics for the report preparation, elaborated from evidence-based information, publicly available, and obtained from a wide range of subjects and perspectives.
